George Bush Intercontinental Airport Template:Airport codes is twenty miles north of downtown Houston, Texas, USA. It is located between Interstate 45 and Highway 59, inside the Houston city limits in the Aldine area, and is adjacent to Humble.
Bush Intercontinental has flights to other parts of the United States, as well as to Canada, Central and South America, Europe, and Asia. The airport is Texas' second largest air facility, after the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. It is the ninth busiest in the United States for total passengers, and nineteenth busiest worldwide.
Houston is the headquarters of Continental Airlines, and IAH is Continental's largest hub, with nearly 700 daily departures. Because of Houston's proximity to American Airlines' hub in Dallas-Fort Worth, that airline also maintains a large presence at IAH. A long list of cities within Texas, as well as international destinations are served directly from this airport. With 30 destinations in Mexico, IAH offers service to more Mexican destinations than any other US airport. IAH currently ranks 2nd in the United States among U.S. airports with scheduled non-stop domestic and international service (221 destinations), trailing only Atlanta Hartsfield with 250 destinations.
