<!-- Introductory paragraph goes here -->
Ängeholm is one of southern Sweden's (Götaland) largest airports, and has got domestic traffic and some times international charter traffic. The airport is also used by many bizjets and private props. Since the airports terminal is located by the end of the runway, the pilots sometimes ask for the quickest departure/arrival, which can be a bit disappointing if you're ready with the camera at the wrong runway end. Concerning the radio transmissions, all messages transmitted on 132.45 can be heard on 127.1 and vice versa.

===Old Military Area===
The southwestern part of the airport used to be a military area, but since the flotilla was closed down in 2002, it has been open for the public. From the northwest corner of the area, shoots of landing aircraft can be taken, when landings are on runway 14. The site is also good for spotting when take-offs are from runway 32. Try to stand a few hundred metres northwest of the tower.

==Other Spotting Locations==
There's a spot beside apron D which is good for looking at the aircraft, but not so great for photography because it's surrounded by fence. If you've got a ladder or a lens that can fit through the fence it's ok for photography. Aircraft taxiing to/from the hangar area comes about 20 metres away from you!

If you're driving, you can park the car just north of the graveyard, by the gardeners storage house. For landing aircraft, walk along the road and position yourself anywhere between the big white old barn for bigger aircraft such as B737-800 or walk further, closer to the approach lights for smaller aircraft like Cessnas.

For line-ups, try to walk along the southern side of the fence until you reach a position you like! This isn't a very good spot in the summer because of heat haze and high grass. Also, at this spot you've got to take the photos trough the fence. Bigger planes departing from runway 32 will pass beside you. Please do not walk in the crop field.

===The terminal===

In the morning/noon you can take photos from the gate east of the terminal of planes taxiing to stand E4, and also when they're standing still. This stand is always used by SAS and the charter planes. Sometimes bizjets get to park there temporarily for embarking/disembarking when SAS isn't there. When stand E4 is empty, you can also take photos of parked aircraft futher away, such as Golden Air's Saabs. Again, you've got to take the shots through a fence...

A few metres southeast of the treshold, there is a small gravel road. The site is good if you want to take photos of landing, overpassing aircraft. Unfortunately, runway 32 is not very often used for landings, mostly take-offs. But from here, you have quite a good view over the terminal and the apron as well.

==Locations to Avoid==
To take photos of private planes on apron West, drive onto the road at the car rental company and in a few seconds a small hill will appear. It's pretty steep, but if you've got good legs it no problem to climb it. From there you have a view of the whole apron.

Since the airports terminal is located by the end of the runway, the pilots sometimes ask for the quickest departure/arrival, which can be a bit disappointing if you're ready with the camera at the wrong runway end. Spotting Locations

Old Military Area

The southwestern part of the airport used to be a military area, but since the flotilla was closed down in 2002, it has been open for the public. From the northwest corner of the area, shoots of landing aircraft can be taken, when landings are on runway 14. The site is also good for spotting when take-offs are from runway 32. Try to stand a few hundred metres northwest of the tower.

There's a spot beside apron D which is good for looking at the aircraft, but not so great for photography because it's surrounded by fence. If you've got a ladder or a lens that can fit through the fence it's ok for photography. Aircraft taxiing to/from the hangar area comes about 20 metres away from you!
