LVK has a spotters' "tower" immediately adjacent to the terminal building, which offers very nice, unobstructed views of pretty much all traffic at the airport. The Northeast Ramp (Ahart Parking) is a bit difficult to see from the platform, as is the South Ramp (unless you have a very long lens), but all runway operations (almost exclusively 25R/L) and the traffic at the self-serve fuel island are visible from the platform. The platform itself is raised about 8 feet off the ground, raising you high enough that the vehicles parked just across the perimeter fence (more on this in a bit) don't obstruct your view. The perimeter fence itself is actually a fairly good area, in and of itself, as the section of fence in the vicinity of the terminal and control tower is only waist-high. Observation Platform
