Donegal Airport is located at Carrickfinn, on the top North-Western corner of Ireland. It is located around 15 minutes from Dungloe and Gweedore, and about 45 minutes from Letterkenny. The airport was first opened to the public in 1986, at a time when the runway was just a grass strip.
