Take account of that the visitor terrace is faced to the south so you have backlight all the day.
According to the Airport Terminal plan, there is a restaurant/snack bar situated on the second floor of Terminal A.
Attention: Before you can get onto the terrace there will be a security check!

Other Spotting Locations
Info Tower
On the new airport area, which isn't finished yet, a 32m high info tower is already open. You have a great panorama view. From there you can get all the take offs and landings from 25R and 07L. Admission charge is €2.
Opening times:
- March-October: 10am-6pm
- November-February: 10am-4pm
Please note: You need a car to get to the info tower.
Airport Gates
If you turn left after the old terminal D and go to the express center you can look through the gates at the road and take great pics of parked and passing aircraft.

Facilities and Transportation
The Airport has its own Railway Station and is situated approx 400 metres (5 minute walk) from the Main Terminal Building.
From Berlin Tegel Airport: If you are traveling to Schönefeld Airport from Tegel Airport you can take the Bus (X9|109) to bus stop U Jakob-Kaiser-Platz. From there runs the underground railway line U7 to U Rudow. There you can either take bus 171 or bus X7 to Schönefeld Airport. Take account that a Busticket for area "C" is necessary to continue your journey.
From Berlin Zoologischer Garten: It is also served by a regular Airport Express bus service from - Berlin-Zoologischer Garten station to Schoenefeld station in just 31 minutes with the AirportExpress. You'll come across large information posters and new appropriate pictograms in the main halls of the larger Berlin stations showing the way to the right train. There are even special waiting areas for the AirportExpress. There you can glean information regarding train departure times and important service numbers. A terminal map points the quickest way to your flight.
